The little town of Uyuni, located in the Central High Plateau of the Potosi State, was created in 1989, due to the Inauguration of a Railroad Complex, which intention was to go both to Chile or to Argentina.

This is a calm town, in a distant region, which the acess can be done by trains or through irregular roads.

Contituted and planified to be a railroad base to serve the mineral exportation, Uyuni has large and spacious avenues, beautiful statues and a peculiar abandoned train cemetery.

As time goes by, Uyuni has became an important center of commerce and tourism.

Many people, from all over the world, most young adventurers, come to Uyuni in purpose of crossing the Uyuni Saltpan.
